HP LaserJet 1020 cannot be installed automatically. Ubuntu does install it but the printer does not work. Download the newest version of HPLIP In order to have a working printer you need to install HPLIP from the offical HPLIP website. Install HPLIPOpen terminal and go to the location you downloaded HPLIP. Then run the file: sh hplip-x.x.x.run Follow instructions. For more information, read the instractions for successfull installation. Share printer to othersOpen http://localhost:631 and go to the Administration tab. Check the option Share published printers connected to this system and click on Change Settings button. Set up the Printer to Use A4 Paper FormatIn order to configure the printer to print in A4 paper format:
